#1 On The Best Seller List!
What a perfect way to wrap up the 2013 Southeastern Book Tour! After attending the author event at Malaprop’s Bookstore in Asheville, NC where Jeff High was the featured speaker discussing Watervalley Books, the author returned home in Middle Tennessee to find out that his debut novel, “More Things In Heaven And Earth“, is #1 on The Tennessean’s Best Seller list!
Since it’s it release to the public on October 1st, the Watervalley Book series has quickly been picking up steam. “More Things In Heaven And Earth,” has already received a surprising number of positive reviews and is maintaining a 5 Star Rating on Amazon.com. This is a good sign for the first-time author. Though it is not the New York Times, The Tennessean is the largest newspaper publication in High’s home state of Tennessee, and to be #1 on the newspaper’s best-seller list less than two after the novel’s launch is huge achievement.
It is still a little early to say, but the upcoming holiday season may have a very special Christmas gift in store for this young author. Donna Meredith at The Southern Literary Review said “Jeff High’s More Things in Heaven and Earth is one of the best books I’ve read in years….This is the book you should give to your mother and your best friend at Christmas. After you read it yourself, of course.” and Nancy Erikson from Quilted Reviews calls the book “A wonderful gift to yourself or someone else.” I guess will see if anyone heeds their advice.
