The Watervalley Co-Op Celebrates National Future Farmers Of America (FFA) Week!
Hey Folks!
Normally, we like to joke about Lester out on the loading dock, but this past week, February 15-22, was National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Week! It’s a big deal!
And all of us down at the Watervalley Farmer’s Co-Op want to salute all the young men and women in our local chapter. They make us proud!
And all of us down at the Watervalley Farmer’s Co-Op want to salute all the young men and women in our local chapter. They make us proud!
Here’s why:
– America farmers feed the world. Believe it or not, we export 36 billion dollars more in farm products than we import. No trade deficit here.
– American’s spend less on food than any other country in the world
– 97% of all American farms are still owned by families
FFA members are not just America’s future farmers… they are America’s future.
So, next time you see farmer… give him (or her) a hug.
Unless, of course, he looks like Lester. Then a friendly nod will do.
